The mass/gravity concept is a colossal blunder
with incalculable consequences. When Newton's use of size to prove his hypothesis
that there was an inverse square law associated with planetary motion failed
verification, consensual science declined to discard the hypothesis, opting
instead to save the appearance of the inverse square law in reality by forcing
the equations dealing with planetary motion to balance to the inverse square
hypothesis by replacing size with the non measurable variable of density.
By using a non verifiable variable to save the inverse square law's appearance,
the inverse square hypothesis became disprovable, the measure of a successful
theory in consensual science.

The blind belief in the mass/gravity concept has led to an unimaginable
expenditure of resources in search of additional facts to save the appearance
of Newton's failed hypothesis, black holes in space, dark matter, synesthesial
quarks, the sea serpents and daemons on the edge of modern medieval maps.

But by far the most devastating result of the mass/gravity blunder is in
the conceptual blindness that it creates, a blindness that has hindered,
and in some cases, eliminated technological progress, and precludes comprehension
by obscuring attempts to construct a consistent picture of physical reality.
